PH431: Week 3 - Announcements

Hi PH431,

We are currently in Day One of Week Three.  I wanted to double check with everyone that we are clear as to what is due this week.  I have made a little checklist for you below in regards to this week's readings and due dates:

RE: WEEK 3 – ASG. #1: “Social media and the Photographer”
You will research social media and the ways in which a photographer might utilize the social media to promote and facilitate client communications and drive visitors to their e-folio website. For this essay, you will share an example of a photographer who has a strong and effective social media practice. You will write a 500- to 750-word essay summarizing a photographer’s use of social media.
Post your written introduction directly in the thread and attach your written statement and resume to your post in the Discussion Thread by (date specified in assignment)


By (date specified in assignment) review and comment on the autobiographies, resumes, and written statements posted by at least two of your peers.
 
RE: WEEK 3 – ASG. #2: “Final Project: Create E-Folio Structure
In this assignment, you will begin the preliminary building of your e-folio website. Start the process by using whatever software or customizable template you choose to create an eye-catching home page with links to galleries and other web resources. Include any additional pages and galleries, wherever necessary.

Submit your portfolio along with the completed portfolio self-evaluation document to the Discussion Area by (date specified in assignment).
By (date specified in assignment), review and comment on the submission of at least two of your peers.
  
RE: WORKING AHEAD
Although it may be tempting to work ahead, I would encourage all of you to work within the given time frame.  If you must work ahead, please refrain from submitting your work until the given deadline.
