PHOA209: W5A1: Feedback

Hi Kathy,

You will find my feedback for your W5A1 in the form of “group video feedback & individual written feedback".  The video is located above (at the bottom of the rubric).  Please ensure that you watch the entire length of the video in order to gain the most insight.
 
RE: Revised the project and used program required equipment to create a minimum of thirty new images based on the areas identified in W2: Assignment 1 and W3: Assignment 1. Submitted a contact sheet of minimum thirty images and edited three final image selections. Complete metadata was included in contact sheet. Images meet portfolio standards. Included full-page lighting set up shot(s).

Completed the 30 new images; included image of handheld light meter in use & wide-angle image showing use of required lighting gear. Student is encouraged to balance interior light w/ light coming through window. Manual exposure skills did not show an understanding of using lights indoors. 

Student is encouraged to work with a gray card to adjust the color temperature manually in the future.

Student is encouraged to refer to the group video critique in regards to which images were suggested as "top photos" to consider for the portfolio and how to edit those shots moving forward. Contact sheet has not been re-attached.
 
RE: Posted a PDF portfolio that has an effective order and flow with regard to composition, color, design, editing choices, and visual elements within images. PDF portfolio has made effective use of background color or tone as well as any other visual choices and modifications. Portfolio adheres to portfolio standards.

Completed; further details within the group video on how to adjust the portfolio for future assignments. An updated design layout for the 'end page' is required for next portfolio.

All students are encouraged to incorporate his/her suggested top images from Week 2 and Week 3's new work into his/her portfolios.

RE: Completed the Weekly Outline and Goals section by answering all questions and identifying clear specific goals that address measurable technical and conceptual aspects.  Completed the Journal Entry section by identifying appropriate goals and gaps.  Focused primarily on new images included specific shoot ideas.
Completed; further details will be placed in the gradebook on how to improve for future journals. All students are encouraged to be more specific about what steps will be taken to achieve the photographic goals. All students are also encouraged to be more specific about target market. 
RE: Included visual examples to support written ideas. Described why the examples were chosen.
Visual examples were not included within the journal entry; further details will be noted in the gradebook.
