PHOA209: W9A1: Feedback

Hi Kathy,

You will find my feedback for your W9A1 in the form of “group video critique".  Please be sure to review the entire video (which is posted just below the rubric).

RE: Revised the project and used program required equipment to create a minimum of thirty new images based on the areas identified in past journals. Submitted a contact sheet of minimum thirty images and edited three final image selections. Complete metadata was included in contact sheet. Images meet portfolio standards. Included full-page lighting set up shot(s).

Completed the 30 new images; included image of handheld light meter in use, and image showing lighting gear. Student's chosen subject matter matches the chosen sub-genre of photography for portfolio; continues to show an understanding of intended target market.

Improvement is needed in terms of location choice: student is encouraged to work within a much larger room to "hone in" on the idea of interior architecture. Student is encouraged to review the works of Mike Kelley (shared in the Questions for the Professor section) and other architecture photographers as inspiration. For W10A1: focus on architecture only vs. the human element.

Further details on suggested top images are noted in the group video critique.

RE: Executed targeted improvements to the résumé and statement as per the guidelines specified in Step 1.

Student made some updates to resume and statement; further details on where further improvements can be made are noted in the group video critique.

Please note: files were not re-attached to ensure all students take the time to watch the entire length of the group video critique.

Information regarding your Journal, Portfolio, 150-word Written Statement, and Peer Critiques will be listed within the Grade Book.
