PHOA209: W8A1: Feedback

Hi Tori,
You will find my feedback for your W8A1 in the form of “individual written feedback & a group video critique". Please use this feedback to help you prepare for your W9A1.

RE: Revised the project and used program required equipment to create a minimum of thirty new images based on the areas identified in W7 Assignment 1 journal. Submitted a contact sheet of minimum thirty images with complete metadata and edited three final image selections that meet portfolio standards.

You completed the basics of the shooting requirements, although I've asked you in the group video critique to re-shoot your work within 48 hours to push the creative concepts because your image are not meeting the Associate's Standards on this level.  Further details on how to improve is noted in the group video critique.

Completed the 30 new images; included image of handheld light meter in use & wide-angle image showing use of required lights.

RE: Updated the portfolio, résumé, and statement within the web portfolio site. Portfolio materials meet portfolio standards.

You submitted screenshots of your portfolio in Behance, although the assignment called for you to create a slideshow with Adobe Lightroom and for that slideshow to include a cover page and an end page. Further details regarding how to improve the portfolio, the images selected and the order in which the images appear are noted in the group video critique.

In your written portion you noted that you were unsure how to write a resume in the MLA format, although we have discussed this several times in past video critiques.  Currently: your resume is not written in the MLA format and I would again encourage you to review the post in the Questions for the Professor section titled, "Resume: How to Write One + An Example".

Your statement looks much better from W7A1! Within the group video critique, I mention a few changes I'd still like to see you make.

RE: Completed a brief written description that addresses the approach to revising the final project material.

Completed, student included a brief written description that addresses the approach to revisiting the final project material.

Please note: your files have not been re-attached; this is to encourage students to watch the entire length of the video critique.

Information regarding your Peer Critiques will be listed within the Grade Book.  Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions and/or concerns.
