PHOA209: Problems & Solutions - Week 2 - Week 2 - Weekend Announcement

Week 2: Weekend Announcement

Your W2A1 is due tomorrow: Sunday, March 5th. There are many components to this assignment; be sure to double check your work prior to submitting. I would encourage all of you to review the posts in the Questions for the Professor section regarding how to create a contact sheet for our class.

W2A1 + Lighting Requirements: You're able to choose your own lighting scheme for this assignment.  Depending on what you're lacking in your portfolio, you may want to opt for 1 strobe light, 2 strobe lights, 2 - or work with natural light. If you have a number of images in your portfolio already that show strong natural light, opt for working with strobes. Keep in mind: to pass the Associate's Degree, you need to be able to show you can work with 3 strobe lights in your portfolio - regardless of the sub-genre you're working with. Ensure that you include a clear wide-angle view showing your lighting scheme as well as an image of your handheld light meter in use.  Moving forward: you will be asked to work with specific lighting gear.

Please be sure to submit your W2A1 on time - particularly because Sunday is the last day of Week 2.  Assignments posted outside of the week given may not be graded (details in the Late Work Guidelines in a post titled "Guidelines for Succeeding in Class" in the Course Home section).

If you have yet to do so, please be sure to review the group video critique posted for W1A1.  Please be sure to review the "Video Intro to Course" posted in the Course Home section in the post titled "Week 1 Announcement & Video Intro"

Keep up the hard work! I look forward to seeing your new work!
