Hi Class,
From W1A3 and forward: you'll be thinking about which sub-genre of portraiture to work on in this class.Please choose one of the following marketable sub-genres to focus on for W1A3 and the remainder of this class.
You will focus on the same sub-genre of photography each week and you will photograph a new model each week. You're encouraged to contact different models during Week 1 to create a schedule and ensure that your model is available.

- Child (ages 2 - 5)
- Older Child (ages 9 - 12)
- Senior Portraits (ages 16 - 19)
- Maternity (women obviously carrying a child)
- Business (images of wo/men dressed in "suit"/"business" attire)
- Sports (images of wo/men dressed in athletic gear)
- Fashion (images of wo/men dressed in unique clothing that makes a conceptual statement)

Please complete your W1: Assignment 3 on time and submit your contact sheet and top images file to this Discussion Area; please ensure your files are saved as PDFs.
Assignments posted after the due date will be graded according to the grading criteria, and that grade may then be reduced by up to 10% per day for the session week. Assignments not submitted within the week in which they are due may receive a “0” and might not receive feedback from the instructor. To ensure feedback from your instructor and peers, all work should be posted during the week it is due.
You will also be using this same Discussion Area to critique the work posted by at least two of your peers. Note the due date of the peer responses as well as the specific topics you have been asked to write about! Your peer responses should be at least 100 words long, should contain a question, a suggestion and challenge one or more of the points made within your classmates' assignments. Follow current MLA guidelines for the writing style, spelling, grammar, and citation of sources. Please note: these peer responses count as a large portion of grade. The participation in the discussion questions and critique feedback cannot be made up - they happen in real time.
