PH222: Week 5 - Announcements
Hi PH222,
We are currently in Day One of Week Five. I wanted to double check with everyone that we are clear as to what is due this week.
Be sure to read through each section of Week 5's module thoroughly along with the corresponding assigned readings, noted within the "Readings & Assignments" section.
RE: WEEK 5 – ASG. #1: “Portrait Exercise: Posing a Group”
You will be photographing 3 subjects using a 3 (or 4) - light setup in an indoor or outdoor setting. (The choice is up to you!) You
will also be photographing your overall studio set up, the lighting
equipment, stands, and the background support system using the light
available. Finally, you will create a 150-word statement describing
your photographic process
By (see assignment for actual date), respond to the discussion questions assigned to you by the instructor. Submit your responses to the appropriate Discussion Area.
By (see assignment for actual date), start reviewing and responding to your peers' posts. Respond to at least two of your peers’ posts by asking a question, posting a comment, or adding a point to expand the discussion. Be honest, clear, and concise.

RE: WEEK 5 – ASG. #2: “Large Group Portraits”
You will be photographing an indoor or outdoor group portrait of at least 4 or 5 (changed from 8 by Prof. F) individuals using a 4-light setup. (You can use the same 3 models from W5A1; simply add two other people.)
This can be a team, a group of working professionals, a family, or a
random group of strangers. You will also be photographing your overall
studio set up, the lighting equipment, stands, and the background
support system using the light available. Finally, you will create a

RE: WORKING AHEAD
Although it may be tempting to work ahead, I would encourage all of you to work within the given time frame. If you must work ahead, please refrain from submitting your work until the given deadline.
