PH222: Week 3 - Models: Plan Ahead
Hi Class,
As you may have noticed in a few of the assignments that you've shot thus far, you're often asked to photograph new models.
This can be a challenge for anyone! I would like to
encourage all of you to take a peak ahead at your upcoming assignments
Week 3 - 6 and take note of which assignments ask for new models. Please
note: your W5A1 and W5A2 focus on "group portraits" and require multiple models.
To help ensure that you run into as little "snags" as possible, start reaching out to potential models now to plan ahead: friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, local businesses, etc. You may also want to consider putting posting a "Call for Models" onto your social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Another option is to use Model Mayhem; there's a post in our Questions for the Professor section about how to use that site. Naturally, if you are reaching out to find models via the inter-web, please be "street smart".
Again, finding a model is always a challenge. Not only that, but there is the possibility that a model will cancel at the last minute. Be sure to have a "Plan B" and a "Plan C"!
