Thanks for submitting your W1A2! My feedback comes to you as an individual written critique. Below you’ll see information related to three out of the four
sections of the rubric; information pertaining to your peer responses

Posted a 750-word research paper with at least 5 photographic examples
pertaining to the selected research topic; Student's essay was well
written in terms of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence
structure.
Your
essay on Gordon Parks and it's comparison to American Gothic was very
well written and certainly met 750-word mark! I was also glad to see
that you included at least 5 photographic examples in your essay.
It's important to note that "American Gothic" is not a sub-genre of photography, yet the title of a painting. With that said, I was glad to see that you chose such an important topic to write about - particularly so close to Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
This assignment was meant for you to find a type of portraiture that you would be interested in. What type of portraiture do you think you would like to focus on in this class? Do you see yourself photographing Children or adults? Sports? Fashion?

Answered all questions and provided an explanation for each; Student's

You
covered all of the questions that were noted in the body of the
assignment quite well. I thought that you handled the grammar, spelling,
punctuation, and sentence structure quite well.
Moving
forward, I am encouraging all students to use Grammary.com not only for
this class and the writing assignments you’ll be doing but also outside
of class: writing e-mails to clients, the “about me” section of a
website, model releases, and other written forms that are required for a
freelance photo business.
RE: Cited all sources using correct MLA formatting.
· Students
used at least three sources; at least 1 out of the 3 from the Week 1
module and at least 1 out of the 3 from the Week 1 Readings.
Your works cited section looked great and I think you have a strong understanding of how to cite your sources in the MLA format.
